Job Description

Working as a Product Pricing Manager at Freshworks, you will be responsible for leading pricing and packaging strategies across CX and AI. Your role involves defining pricing policies, conducting pricing analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing strategies. Your expertise in product management, product marketing or product operations, as well as cross-functional collaboration will be critically important in driving Freshworks' success through effective pricing and packaging strategies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of market dynamics, customer segments, and competitor pricing strategies to inform product-specific pricing decisions.

  2. Collaborate closely with product management teams to understand product features, value propositions, and market positioning, and translate these insights into effective pricing strategies.

  3. Develop and implement product-specific pricing models, including tiered pricing, usage-based pricing, and value-based pricing, to optimize revenue generation and address diverse customer needs.

  4. Monitor and analyze product pricing performance metrics, such as revenue per user, conversion rates, and customer churn, to identify opportunities for pricing optimization and revenue enhancement.

  5. Lead pricing experiments to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on product adoption, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.

  6. Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment between product pricing strategies and overall business objectives.

  7. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to anticipate shifts in customer preferences and market dynamics that may impact product pricing.

  8. Provide guidance and support to sales teams on product pricing negotiations, discounting strategies, and deal structuring to maximize deal value and win rates.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of strategic planning and/or product management experience in SaaS or related fields

  • 4+ years of experience in leading software projects

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, economics or a related business discipline; MBA preferred.

  • Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders across functions and levels and influence decision-making

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product lifecycle management and pricing dynamics.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
